Ongoing Destruction on S. Mitthoeffer - Protecting Indianapolis neighborhoods

One of my biggest frustrations with this city's direction is the neglect of our townships—especially the lack of code enforcement. While I’ve worked to strengthen zoning laws to prevent semi-truck lots from popping up in residential areas, enforcement has been nonexistent.
✅ I prohibited semi-truck lots from operating in many areas in 2023, requiring them to obtain an exception from the Board of Zoning Appeals.
✅ I adjusted weight limits on Mitthoeffer and Prospect Road to block truck traffic.
X Yet, the city has allowed two truck lots to operate illegally on Mitthoeffer for over a year with zero traffic violations or putting a stop to illegitimate businesses.
The City’s enforcement departments are severely lacking, and residents are fed up. I will continue fighting and protecting Indianapolis neighborhoods from illegal development and degradation.
The City Permitted this to happen knowing it is going to be an illegal semi parking lot by allowing a land use permit.
